FORMAT

All registered teams are eligible to compete in any or all of the 8 sanctioned tournaments that make up the 2006 HOT Circuit Invitational to accrue points toward the HOT Circuit.

Teams will receive one point per pound of any eligible fish that captures an official place of any of the 8 sanctioned tournaments. There are five species of fish that make up the eligible fish list for the 2006 HOT Circuit Invitational, those fish are Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish, Grouper and Snapper.

Each tournament score will be added to compile a total number of points per team for the season. The 2006 HOT Circuit Invitational is a boat tournament and does not include individual categories or zone categories. The following is an example of how a team may score through the season.

HOT CIRCUIT "FISH OFF

The 2006 "Fish Off" is a slam format tournament.

  • Each team is allowed to weigh 1 fish per species.
  • Two species minimum. (Teams must weigh at least two fish)
  • The total pounds of all the fish weighed will be totalled to determine the points the team receives (134.2 pounds = 134.2 points).

Should two teams have the same weight total then the team with the most species places higher. If the total weight and number of species are exactly the same then the tie breaker goes to the team who weighs in first.
