70 teams competed in the postponed Melbourne Rotary
tournament this past weekend with 3 HOT Circuit teams stealing
the show. Team Cool Runnin', consisting of Derwood Knowles, Doug
Wright and Brian Denson, walked away with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place
Dolphin (30.6, 30.1 and 27.55) earning them 88.25 in placing points.
Greg Gammage and his Team Blackhawk swiped two places with a 1st
place Wahoo (40.8 lbs) and a 3rd place Kingfish (19.95 lbs) earning
them 60.75 placing points. Team Double XL, captained by Chris
Lovilsi, also captured two places. They took second place wahoo
(28.8 lbs) and top junior with a 3.8 lb fish.
Please note that we have not received the official summary of
all the HOT Circuit teams that competed. Once we do we will update
the 5 points per team and format the teams to show the official
rankings.
NEXT EVENT
July 15th marks the date of the next HOT Circuit
event. The Indian River Area Fishing Report's Bluewater Brawl
is sure to be a blast and you can find out more information on
their website HERE.

FSFA SUMMARY - Team Point Blank and Lucky Dog took
advantage of the 2nd and 3rd place slam categories and earned
86.3 and 84.8 points respectively. 23 HOT Circuit teams weighed
in fish and 13 teams placed in HOT Circuit eligible places. We
have listed the points earned by the placing teams, the total
points and 5 points per team will be updated later this evening.
NEXT EVENT - This coming weekend is the
Melbourne Rotary club tournament at Captain Hirams In Sebastian.

Team Outrun the Sun was the only team to place multiple
fish and wracked up some points doing so this past weekend as
106 boats competed in the Coconuts Wahoo & Dolphin Shootout.
The tournament had some nice fish weighed in including Outrun
the Sun's 45.1 and 36.7 pound Wahoos. Team Double Header threw
a 46.2 pound Dolphin on the scale which took third place and the
sought after T-N-T. Team Blackhawk rounded off the HOT Circuit
teams that placed fish with a 23.3 pound dolphin in the ladies
category. 45 HOT Circuit teams competed in this tournament.
This coming weekend be sure to fish the 38th annual
FSFA Offshore Slam. This tournament has tons of points to wrack
up so if your in the hunt for some points go get em. You can learn

With only four tournaments remaining in the HOT Circuit season
the chase to place a fish is heating up.

Team Point Blank spanked the bottom and walked away
with 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the grouper category. Their 34.6#, 31.6#
and 29.75# groupers earned them 95.95 (+5 points for registering)
and bumped them into the lead in the points race. Will Tadich
and his team aboard the Deceiver had the second highest point
total of the event placing a 22.15# wahoo and top ladies with
a 39.05# dolphin. Congrats to Mikeys Addiction, Coach's 3rd Time
Out, Graham Slam, Outrun the Sun, Team Performance Fiberglass
and Wreckreation for also placing fish in the event. Fourteen
HOT Circuit teams have placed fish this season with 5 tournaments
left to compete.

With the cancellation of the CFOA tournament and the date switch
with the Mac Attack, this is the only Port Canaveral tournament
this weekend.

Congratuations to Mikey's Addiction, Grinder, Loose
Change & 38 Special; these four teams were the only HOT Circuit
teams to place fish in this past weekends SISA tournament. Pleaese
note that we are still awaiting the tally for all the boats that
registered and we will update the total points with each teams
5 points when we receive the official list. This weekend is the
Cal Dixon Offshore Classic. Check the schedule for more information.

51 HOT Circuit teams competed this past weekend in
the Rustys Tournament. Congrats to the 6 teams that placed fish.
The next HOT Circuit event is this coming weekend, the SISA tournament
in Sebastian. See you there.

Tonight is the captains party for the Coconuts Wahoo
& Dolphin Shootout. As most of you can probably tell, the
weather is looking "not so great" for the shootout to
take place this weekend, however we are having a heck of a party
at Coconuts on the Beach tonight. If you dont already have plans
be sure to come out and take part. The proceeds raised from Free
Beer Donations, Shootout T-shirt sales, and an original painting
by Local artist Rick Piper is going to the Pediatric Care Center
at the Cape Canaveral Health First Hospital. Of course there will
be the normal raffles and they will going over all the rules,
so if you plan on fishing it on the make up date of May 27th show
up to get a copy of the rules and have a good time. At least the
postponement decision is a pretty easy one this year. Also, the
HOT Circuit will be there to take registrations and to answer
any questions.

All of the items for the HOT Circuit membership packages
have arrived and will be mailing out this week. With less than
three weeks until the first tournament we currently have 33 registered
teams. For those of you thinking of waiting until the Coconuts
Shootout captains party to register you might consider mailing
in your application as the Shootout Captains Party is expected
to be packed.

The HOT Circuit is pleased to announce the addition

The HOT Circuit Board of Directors met with the tournament
directors of the sanctioned tournaments to discuss some points of
interest as well as finalize the format of the HOT Circuit Invitational.
Please review the different sections of the site as we have made
some updates. The updates include the following:
- Each team will receive 5 points per HOT Circuit
Invitational tournament they register to compete in.
- The top 40 teams after the 8 sanctioned tournaments
will be invited to compete in the HOT Circuit Invitational "Fish
Off".
- The HOT Circuit Invitational "Fish Off"
will be a slam tourney and the team that has the heaviest weight
total of two or more of the five species will be crowned the HOT
Circuit Invitational Top Boat of 2006.
